MPG® offered in this uncoated format is our most versatile MPG® product. The surface of MPG® can easily be modified to introduce almost any reactive group with appropriate silanes. It can be used without further modification for adsorption of biomolecules, or coated with a specific ligand and used for affinity purification.

MPG® Uncoated provides free silanol groups for adsorption of biomolecules. Attachment is a two step process in which biomolecules are first non-specifically adsorbed onto MPG® and then stabilized by cross-linking the ligand with a homobifunctional reagent. Coupling efficiencies up to 75 µg protein per mg of MPG® Uncoated are achieved by following the suggested coupling procedure.
