CleanasciteHC™ is a Lipid Adsorbent and Clarification Agent for pretreatment of samples prior to further purification. It is a non-ionic adsorbent supplied as a stable liquid suspension ready for use. CleanasciteHC™ selectively removes lipids, floating fats, cell debris and mucinous impurities from ascites, serum, cell culture supernatants, as well as many other samples, thus facilitating subsequent purification. CleanasciteHC™ has virtually no binding to antibodies, hemoglobin, glycoproteins, proteoglycans, nucleic acids and most serum components. Some proteins may bind to varying degrees and should be tested on an individual basis.

CleanasciteHC™ is broadly applicable and possesses an extremely high lipid removal capacity leading to superior downstream results. CleanasciteHC™ replaces toxic solvents, environmentally damaging methods and impractical surfactant treatments. It enhances downstream processing by both increasing the quality of the desired purified product, and extending the life of membrane and chromatographic systems used in such purifications.

CleanasciteHC™ is simple to use. It is added directly to the sample (usually at a 1:4 ratio), mixed, and then centrifuged to pellet the CleanasciteHC™ along with the bound impurities, leaving a clarified solution for more efficient applications.
